Anne, single, on a date with an old friend, Ian, a frustrated husband, recalls her relationship with a man she never knew: an artist and asylum seeker (Innocent). And soon the line between truth and lies becomes ever so thinner...

Though ANNEX isn't biographical, it is inspired by events during my life as an asylum seeker. ANNEX isn't just a personal film: it's also an attempt to explore human relationships, and the lack of them.

Any film should be thrilling, funny, scary, sad or whatever else make people keep watching... but as a filmmaker, unless you use the film to make the cry for compassion or the plea for tolerance or whatever it is, to some degree, then you deny the genius of its invention.
